Thank you for attending the World Cup trials in Johannesburg and Cape Town. It was wonderful to see everyone on the hockey field even in difficult weather conditions. Both weekends were a great success both on and off the field.  All of this is not possible without the commitment and hard work of a number of role players. Thank you to SA Masters executive, coaches and managers.  

The executive is pleased to announce the squads to play in the Africa Cup of Nations in Cape Town from 26 to 28 November 2021. This series will provide further input into selection and give the coaches another opportunity to see players. It also gives players another chance to showcase their skill and ability prior to final selection. Our intent is to send strong and balanced teams to the respective tournaments. The final teams to represent SA Masters at the World Cup will be announced at the February camp (5 & 6 Feb 2022, venue tbc).

It is however with regret to inform you that we will not be sending a Women’s O40 team to Nottingham. After much consideration and many hours of debate it has been decided that we will combine the O35/O40 ages into one competitive team to represent SA Masters in W35 category in the UK.
