Applications open for Coaches and Managers for NZ Master’s Hockey World Cup

SA Masters Hockey calls for all interested parties, for both Men and Women’s teams, to submit a hockey-related CV, including coaching qualifications where relevant.

The cost of the tournament for coaches and managers will largely be subsidized by the squad members. Following our initial budgeting process, we estimate the cost of participation to be R55 000 for New Zealand.  Like last year players will be required to commit to a financial plan and payment schedule as set out by SA Masters. It is, however, our intention to actively source sponsorship with the view to cover most expenses for all representatives to the World Cup.  

A minimum requirement for managers will be to contribute 20% towards expenses, excluding flights, visas and spending money.

Coaches and Managers will also be required to attend the following events prior to the World Cup in 2024

• SA Master trials on 8 & 9 August 2023, Johannesburg.
• SA Master November series 2023 – venue tbc.
• SA Masters National camp & Final selection, Johannesburg, Feb 2024
• As well as any other individual team or regional activities within reason -own cost.

SA Masters will subsidize travel costs of attending the above SA Masters hosted events to the amount of R2500 per trip.
