We still have some support positions to fill in the WC squads (Mens 50 & 55) and welcome applications. Should you wish to put up your hand for the AMI or can recommend someone else, please forward the relevant details to chairman@sgmha.co.za.

We would like to rectify the following omissions from the initial AMI squad announcements:

  • Graeme Eadie – SA Mens 55 Green
  • Nicholas Gill – SA Mens 40 Yellow

As indicated in the first newsletter the AMI series will afford the selected players another opportunity to be seen within a tournament environment. Added to this are those who could not make the trials and had requested dispensation.

We also mentioned that we will be inviting trialists who were not included in the squads to form part of invitation teams for the AMI. Attached are the details of the respective invitation teams. We look forward to seeing you in November.

Selectors will be looking at all teams with the intention of selecting the strongest teams to represent SA at the World Cup. This means it is possible for players, from any team, to be selected into the final squad.
