Dear Friend,
We are pleased to announce that The Africa Nations Cup for Masters Hockey players is coming to Cape Town from 26-28 November 2021. The tournament will feature the SA Masters World Cup squads, teams from around the African continent as well as teams from Alliance International as they prepare for the WMH World Cup next year. The City of Cape Town will be the primary sponsor for the tournament, and it will be hosted by The South African Masters Hockey Association. Matches will be played in and around the Western Province Cricket Club and Hartleyvale Hockey Stadium, which will also be the primary venues for the upcoming WMH World Cup. Spectators and family members will also be allowed onto the sportsgrounds to watch the matches for free.
“The City of Cape Town is thrilled to be providing a stage for some of Africa’s top masters hockey teams to showcase the talent on the continent. The city is proud to be partnering with the South African Masters Hockey Association to put together sporting events that will not only showcase this continent’s skills on the field but will also highlight our strong track record in hosting sporting events. We look forward to welcoming all the teams and hosting them in our beautiful city.” Said The City of Cape Town spokesperson, Luthando Tyhalibongo.
